On June 15, 2026, the International Belarus–Kazakhstan Forum on New Technologies in Ecology and Environmental Protection was held at the Astana International Financial Centre. The event was organized with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Kazakhstan and brought together leading experts in the fields of ecology, environmental management, and sustainable development.
The Forum was attended by representatives of government agencies, the scientific and expert community, industrial enterprises, and environmental organizations, including the Information and Analytical Center for Environmental Protection under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Participants were introduced to modern technologies for the processing of municipal solid waste, industrial, medical, and construction waste, solutions for drinking water and wastewater treatment, environmental infrastructure digitalization, recycling of oil sludge and used rubber, as well as innovative approaches to managing urban water supply systems using artificial intelligence.
Particular attention was given to the implementation of environmental innovations, the efficient use of natural resources, the development of international cooperation, and the exchange of practical experience between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus.
Following the Forum, participants discussed prospects for implementing joint projects in the field of environmental technologies and sustainable development. The event confirmed the strong potential of international cooperation in addressing current environmental challenges and promoting advanced environmental solutions.
