Seminar “Strategic Environmental Assessment: Principles and Practice”

The Information and Analytical Center for Environmental Protection under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan invites interested professionals to participate in the training seminar “Strategic Environmental Assessment: Principles and Practice”, which will be held on 29–30 June 2026 in Astana.
The seminar aims to enhance the professional competencies of specialists in environmental planning and the practical application of Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) in accordance with the environmental legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The program covers the key stages and procedures of SEA, including screening, scoping, preparation of SEA reports, organization of public consultations, interaction with government authorities, monitoring of implementation, and current issues of regulatory and legal practice.

Special attention will be given to practical case studies, territorial planning issues, and the application of SEA tools in the development of state programs, strategies, and master plans.

The seminar is intended for representatives of government agencies, environmental specialists of enterprises, employees of design and consulting organizations, environmental experts, and other interested professionals.

Upon successful completion of the seminar, participants will receive a certificate.
